Main tasks and responsibilities:
Maximize revenue performance in a pre-determined territory
Achieve performance objectives through Independent Operators to maximize district performance, customer service and profitability
Monitor Independent Operator contract compliance
Develop and implement strategies for increasing market share
Coordinate distribution of key items and focus on customer service through motivating and influencing Independent Operators
Generate new business
Create and maintain strong relationships with store management. Provide business reviews to key stakeholders.
Creatively solve complex customer and business issues
Measure and manage district performance
Ensure proper ordering for normal and promotional activity
Manage rack set according to set guidelines
Manage the execution of local and national promotions and displays to drive brand equity and awareness
Conduct route rides with Independent Operators to enhance overall performance
Qualifications & skills:
High School degree or equivalent; college degree strongly preferred
Minimum one year sales experience
Direct Store Delivery (DSD) sales experience strongly preferred
Valid driver's license
Strong organizational and communication skills
Strong computer skills, including but not limited to email, Word, Excel and Power Point
Ability to work flexible schedules to meet the demands of the business
Bilingual - English/Spanish a plus.
SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
This position requires the incumbent to have extensive experience working in a sales setting and have working knowledge of DSD operations.
Maintenance of a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
