The Territory Manager is responsible for developing long term client relationships and conducting direct sales with hospitals, pharmacy directors, physicians and other customers. The ideal candidate would be proficient in discussing our focus which is in the transplant market with emphasis on immune system support. The major responsibility of the position is to manage the specified territory sales, discuss medical/technical issues with key opinion leaders, promote products and meet sales targets. This is a field based position which will require a good deal of travel within the specified geographic area and a high level of independence while still achieving goals. A focus on developing and maintaining contacts within the industry, presenting a new corporate entity and the scientific benefits of a highly sophisticated product. The candidate should keep abreast of competitor activities. This position is compensated with a base salary plus commission.
Demonstrated success in a sales capacity with the ability to negotiate, influence and present scientific evidence. Excellent communication skills with emphasis on presentation skills. Also would be proficient in the ability to learn and apply technical and scientific knowledge to the sales process. Exemplary customer service skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities as needed.
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in a relevant life science area with three to seven years hospital sales and/or Medical Science Liaison experience in a pharmaceutical company. Sales management experience in a large geographic area is a plus. Experience in Bio-theraputics a plus.
