Igus (www.igus.com) is a fast growing , Global, Plastics Manufacturer (Bearings Division).
We have a great opportunity for a territory manager to consult/maintain an existing customer base and build new business relationships in the north LA area.

This is a home based position offering independence and autonomy with great support and training offered by their US based (RI) office. The company is growing at 20% annually and we have retained many of their employees for many years (they are happy group!)

Generous base salary , bonus and commission plan with complete benefits package.

In this position, your primary responsibility will be to assist customers in implementing igus®’ products into various types of automated machinery applications. We are looking for someone who has an aptitude for different technologies and enjoys building strong customer relationships.

Your responsibilities:
Make on-site sales visits to connect with customers (20-30 hours of local travel per week expected)
Provide informed technical assistance for a wide range of applications
Create and deliver customized sales proposals
Communicate effectively with your inside sales team so your customers receive fast and superior service
Prospect for new business
Your qualifications:
Two to five years of outside sales experience (in an industrial and/or manufacturing environment strongly preferred)
Ability to work independently while producing tangible results
Background in engineering, business or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
Continued passion for learning and strengthening your technical knowledge about igus® products
Reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement for travel provided)
You will receive a competitive base salary, along with commission and bonuses. Our benefits program includes medical and dental insurance, 401(k) plan and generous paid time-off. We also reimburse for mileage, tuition, home-office equipment and general expenses. Extensive classroom and in-the-field training is provided at our Rhode Island home office.
