The Territory Manager position requires you to inform, inspire, educate, and engage our Authorized Dealer’s/Prospects/Industry Professionals via a unique array of sales, marketing and training programs.
Managers are required to: (1) Manage your respective Existing Dealers to use the Sales Tools and Programs available to them to increase Sales Volumes in your Territory, (2) Open up New Business through Traditional Distribution and through the Trade Partner Program, (3) Increase Branding through consistent Territory Marketing and Dealer Gallery Displays, (4) Participate in the overall experience at our Galleries.
PrPrimary Objectives & Responsibilities
Represent and sell Miele appliance products throughout the assigned Territory through agreed upon programs / networks while communicating new venues / ideas to the management team for consideration. The key programs that need to be focused on in 2013 are the Trade Partner, Corporate Builder, and MarketShare Programs. Success in these programs will be essential for both Regional and National success.
Work closely with the local A&DRG Manager to help work with our Existing dealers to participate in the Trade Partner Program. The success that we have with the cooperation through our Existing Dealers is as much a responsibility of the Territory Manager as it is for the A&DRG Manager.
Cultivate sales in Existing Dealers with enhanced focus on seeking out or creating display expansion opportunities to increase Miele’s overall display share, especially with MarketShare Dishwashers, Refrigeration, Steam Ovens and Hoods.
Improve your overall relationship with the Key Top 20% of the Territory Accounts. Be active in the Key Dealer Meetings, Conflict Resolutions, Dealer Events, and Persuasive Communication on how and why Key Dealers need to increase their commitment to Miele.
Expand the Territory with any New Traditional or Alternative Distribution options (non-Trade Partner Program).
Regional Marketing plans should be consistent with National Themes and Goals. Increase Branding by using all Marketing funds available to your Territory with an increase focus on using these funds for our Key Programs and Product Categories listed above.
The Miele Gallery experience has to continually be evaluated and improved with an overall goal of bringing more and more people through the Gallery each year. This includes Training Classes for our Clients and Dealers but must also include Revenue generating events. The Gallery needs to be used for Dealer Meeting/Events and Association Meetings/Events.
Be organized and prepared to share Strategic and Tactical Execution Plans to Miele sales management team members, retailers and prospects. Engage professional communication mediums and techniques (in writing or personal presentation) that reflect positively on the brand. Provide forecasts that are attainable and reflect a growing market share.
