thin plant health care products to professional tree care or landscape maintenance companies. Focus areas will include establishing and expanding clients through science-based treatment protocols and serving the client as an expert in the discipline for tree health care.
Achieve targeted territory growth at a rate and margin consistent with the business plan and that aligns with the company's vision and brand.
Execute market driven strategies that result in sustainable competitive advantages to customers.
Understand key market and competitive trends in order to best implement our value proposition as well as product offerings.
Utilize key marketing metrics and key performance indicators for continual improvement.
Retain existing clients and build new business with tree care professionals and landscape maintenance services companies.
Primary responsible territory is for the Eastern Great Lakes and Mid-Atlantic regions including E. PA (West of Harrisburg), MD, DE, NJ, VA, and D.C.
Demonstrates a high level of industry knowledge that may include the following: key competitors, terminology, technology, trends, challenges, demonstrates basic knowledge of customers' unique business needs related to tree care companies.
Participates in the development of principles for territory management, including: account planning, selling processes, post-sales implementation processes, economics; adheres to principles of territory management with minimal supervision.
o Identifies and qualifies new opportunities and develops plans for introducing new solutions through collaborative relationships.
o Responsible for cold calling, prospecting and building relationships that will increase territory growth and customer satisfaction within business segment and/or geography.
o Focus areas will include developing new business as well as increasing value for existing accounts.
Builds and sustains relationships founded on trust with internal and external customers and ensures customer satisfaction and loyalty.
o Provide recommendations and technical support for all applicable products.
o Identify client needs and opportunities for enhancing their ability to provide tree care.
o Provide customer complaint resolution
o Provide field training, support resources and expertise to all end users.
o Serve clients through being an expert in Tree Health Care.
Reputation for developing innovative strategies in tree care markets, ultimately increasing revenue market growth for our customers.
Service new and established clients by providing solutions and tools that help them deliver tree health care protocols, services and products that get predictable results.
Attend local trade shows, network, and participate in other industry activities throughout the year.
Provide guidance to marketing department on regional and territory specific problems and products to focus on within assigned sales territory.
Maintain and develop relationships with key influencers in the industry.
Utilize company client management tools and process to ensure excellent customer service and effective territory development.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
Education and Work Experience: B.S. or M.S in urban forestry, horticulture, biology or related field. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in tree care field and sales support is preferred. Written and prepare technical presentations.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Ability to adapt to an increasingly changing environment. Demonstrate diplomacy, self-confidence and a positive attitude. Willingness to collaborate, offer assistance, and work cooperatively with others to reach common goals. Track record for selling, can adapt easily to different cleint situations. Knowledge of structuring and achieving quota goals and expectations. Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population. Ability to organize, prioritize and multitask. Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy, Customer Focused, Drive for results mindset. Strong problem solving skills (consultative sales approach). Able to work independently and in a team environment.
Equipment and Applications: Experience and knowledge with tree healthcare equipment and tree healthcare product application. Must be computer literate: MS Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook. Has a Class D Drivers' license.
