The Territory Sales Specialist is responsible for meeting sales objectives for the Trident, MammoSite and Hologic breast biopsy products within a specific geographical territory. To achieve success, the TSS must successfully sell Hologic’s specimen radiography system, grow and defend market share for MammoSite breast cancer radiation treatment and increase breast biopsy market share among the breast surgeon market.

Key competencies include:
· Capacity to effectively navigate both capital and disposable sales processes.
· Proven ability to create, execute and adapt a territory sales plan that drives performance to exceed multiple quota categories.
· Ability to build rapport and make effective sales presentations to physicians, hospital administration and healthcare providers.
· Capability to manage time effectively – prioritizing and making effective business judgments to deliver ROI.
· Provide ongoing customer service to support current Hologic customers.
· Appropriately partner with internal counterparts to share leads and drive increased sales across sales forces.
· Manage territory operating budget within expense guidelines.
· Attend all corporate training, sales meetings, conventions and in-field development courses.
· Candidates should be prepared to drive 500-1000 miles per week. Overnight travel may be required 1-2 nights per week.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will exhibit a passion for our business. He or she should have good interpersonal, problem solving, organizational, communication and leadership skills. He or she must also be flexible, team-orientated, self-motivated and demonstrate good judgment, a strong work ethic and personal integrity based on a high value system.
· A minimum of 5-years of demonstrated successful sales performance (or other relative experience) with documented success (percent-to-quota, percentage growth year-over-year, ranking among peers, awards).
· Surgical sales and/or hospital-based capital sales experience preferred.
· B.S. or B.A. degree.
· Ability to sell in a consultative, clinically-based manner.
· Must be able to manage a conceptual sell against an established standard of care to effectively change treatment and patient flow paradigms.
· Ability to understand and articulate complex scientific literature, then utilize that information to effectively sell.
· Familiarity with reimbursement and managed care policies.
· Must possess the maturity, confidence and technical skill to educate physicians and challenge decisions, where appropriate.
· Valid driver’s license required.
Education
· B.S. degree or B.A degree
Experience
