About the Position

This position does not provide guaranteed work hours each week, and work will be assigned on an intermittent "as needed basis" only. Incumbent will be paid only for the hours worked. The annual salary listed above, is based on a full time schedule, equaling to an hourly salary range of $13.41 - $17.83 per hour.

This position will NOT lead to a full-time position.

Travel is required to various testing sites. Personally owned vehicles must be used to travel to the testing sites.

Travel reimbursement is authorized.

Intermittent employees are NOT eligible for benefits. Relocation expenses will NOT be paid.


You will be NOT be reimbursed for travel if live outside of the local commuting area. Reimbursement begins once you are within the local commuting area.

Administers written tests in the local commuting area of this announcement and up to a 100 miles radius when necessary, using own vehicle to transport test material. Maintains security and inventory of test materials. Must reside within the local commuting area or travel to the commuting area at own expense. Requires early morning travel and extended periods of standing, walking, and sitting. Some work may be performed from your residence prior to arriving at the test site. Must be able to carry 1 to 5 cases of test materials each weighing an average of 10 to 35 pounds to and from examination locations.

General Experience : To qualify, applicants must possess one year of general experience. General experience is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of a Test Administrator.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities)in the following areas:

Education Substitution : M ust have completed two (2) full academic years of undergraduate level education beyong high school which equipped you with the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of this position. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university. If using education to meet basic qualifications you must attach a copy of your transcripts to your application package under the document type 'Transcripts.'

Combination of education/experience: Combinations of successfully completed education and specialized experience described above may be used to meet total qualification requirements at the GS-04 level.

Foreign education must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency in order to be considered for this position. Please include this information in your resume.

Security Information : Because the positions are subject to working with minors, it is a Public Trust position, requiring Criminal History Repository checks for each state where the selectees have resided for the past five years upon appointment to the Testing Administrator position.
