Introduction

Job Purpose
This candidate will be part of the Test chip team that is responsible for qualifying all IPs (Standard cell, Memory and IOs) developed by the IP development team before they are productized. The job will involve working with many process technologies offered by most foundries across the world. This candidate will be involved in test architecture development, RTL development, MBIST, RTL verification, physical implementation and signoff. This candidate will also work closely with the testing team and provide any support needed in order to completely characterize the test structures.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
The test Chip team is responsible for taping out many test chips in a year and as such the candidate will be responsible for on time delivery of the tasks assigned to him/her. The candidate will primarily own the RTL generate, MBIST insertion, RTL verification and test pattern generation for all Test Chips he/she is involved in. Additionally, the candidate will strive for continuous improvement in the architecture and methodologies involved in test chip design and testing. The candidate will also be involved in physical implementation and sign off of the Test Chips. The candidate will have to work in a team environment and also influence peer groups across geographies.

Job Requirements

Education & Qualifications

Masters degree in either Electrical or Computer Engineering.

Essential Skills & Experience

The candidate must have proven skills in RTL development and verification. The candidate must have good knowledge of DFT techniques with specific expertise in MBIST implementation using Mentor Graphic’s Tessent tools. The candidate should have demonstrable experience in RTL verification. The candidate must have good working knowledge of physical design using RTL- >GDSII flows. The candidate should have working knowledge of scripting using PERL and/or Tcl. The candidate should have good documentation and communication skills.

Desirable Skills & Experience
Experience in Physical implementation using RTL- >GDSII flows is a highly desirable skill. Also, experience in testers would be a plus.
