As a Test Engineer II you will be responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, conducting diagnostics, modifying and evaluating electronic circuitry, subsystems, or other hardware elements of manufacturing test systems. Additionally, you will be working to ensure that the testing station are up and running correctly and making modifications as needed and respond to both internal and external customer needs. Your work will help drive continuous improvement in production.

  • Provide engineering support for production to achieve quality, cost, and delivery goals.
  • Data analysis to determine root cause and corrective action to help drive quality initiatives.
  • Manage and execute projects to reduce product manufacturing costs.
  • Knowledge of calibration philosophies, error analysis techniques for components and design stack-up, and TUR analysis.
  • Propose and implement design changes to improve product performance and manufacturability.
  • Review and evaluate new product designs or changes in existing designs; determine calibration specifications, functional and/or environmental test requirements.
  • Specify and/or design factory test equipment; prepare documentation to enable fabrication of test equipment.
  • Provide technical assistance and conduct training in the operation and test of new products to test personnel.
  • Knowledge of control systems, embedded systems, switch design, ATE, etc.
  • Use SPC techniques in analyzing test system and product performance.
  • Direct work activities for junior engineers and technicians to meet key initiatives of quality, cost and delivery.

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
  • 3-5 years of practical, technical experience
  • Good understanding of analog and digital based circuitry
  • LabView, Visual Basic, C, Java and other programming languages preferred
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong problem solving methodology
  • Excellent data analysis and statistical background
