The

Test Engineer

performs, creates and maintains test materials and automation for software of one or more software applications and/or systems to ensure product quality. The Test Engineer sets up the test environment, configures test systems, executes manual and automated tests, and reports results. He/she will collaborate on a day-to-day basis with project team members on technical tasks and issues such as requirements or user story testability, test design, test automation design, test automation implementation, automation technology choices, and test results. The Test Engineer collaborates with other team members including Test Engineers, System Engineers, Software Engineers and engineering leadership to coordinate activities within and across projects.

1. Creating tests of requirements and/or user stories

2. Executing manual and automated tests

3. Creating and maintaining test automation

4. Contributing to and/or ensuring the completion of milestones associated with specific projects

5. Reporting results and status including schedule progress and problems/issues

6. Supporting the collection of metrics

7. Following Software Engineering processes

Work Environment

The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.

During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

BS with 8 years of relevant experience, Associate Degree or no degree with 10 years of relevant experience

Ability to work individually and within a team and assist teammates to achieve team commitments within either a waterfall and Agile/Scrum development approach.

Solid understanding of test automation and automation tools.

Working knowledge of one or more of the following: IA C&A, DoD interoperability testing, code-driven automated test, GUI automated test

Working knowledge of Cross Domain Solutions

Computer Skills:
Knowledge of applicable programming language(s) and/or techniques for automation tools

Travel:
Up to 25% travel may be required for this position

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Clearance:
Currently have a Top Secret clearance with Single Scoped Background Investigation (SSBI), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI),
