Test Technician
Mevion Medical Systems - Littleton, MA
The candidate will be responsible for performing routine and varied tasks to ensure that production standards are met. Sets up, calibrates, tests and troubleshoots production assemblies. Projects may range from simple to complex, and will report directly to the Production Supervisor.

Job duties and responsibilities:
  • Tests electronic and electro-mechanical units using standard test equipment. Analyzes results to evaluate
  • Assists with creation of written test procedures for new assemblies.
  • Adjusts or replaces defective or improperly functioning circuitry or electronic equipment with regard to installation, upgrades, or enhancements.
  • Provides controlled documentation of component alterations to update as-built drawings and diagrams.
  • Specifies and assists in acquisition of tools and equipment.
  • Sets up and performs bench, component and system level tests.
  • Ability to operate Digital Volt Meters, AC test fixtures, power supplies, etc…
  • Installs completed electro-mechanical and mechanical assemblies into equipment cabinets.
  • Disassembly, rework, and re-assembly of electro-mechanical and mechanical assemblies.
  • May be called upon to assist with Production assembly work production Supervisor’s discretion.
  • Helps prepare systems for shipment.

Minimum educational, training and experience qualifications:
  • An associate’s degree in electronics is preferred but not required. 3-10 years of experience in electromechanical test and repair is essential.
  • This position requires good attention to detail and the ability to work from written test instructions.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings or written work instructions for assembling electronic units.
  • Working knowledge of electronic theory and components.
  • Soldering proficiency for both mechanical joints and electrical connections.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and analyze failures using electronic test equipment and software.
  • Experience with accelerator systems (RF, high power electronics, high vacuum, superconducting magnets) is a strong plus.
  • Experience with controlled documentation and FDA compliance.
