Under limited supervision, perform a variety of electronic technical functions related to production test, checkout, calibration, alignment of semiconductor wafer test equipment. Ensure production quality standards are met, prepare written reports, and provide direction to production test operators. This position will support a 24/7 wafer fab probe operation that runs DC and RF testing of GaAs switches and discrete diodes.
Responsibilities will include improving test processes, document processes, and train technicians. Production maintenance and spare parts inventory of Electroglas 2001 probers. Setup and operation of automatic test equipment. Troubleshooting from test platform to device under test (DUT). Support calibration requirements. Perform various engineering data collections.
Skills: The ability to troubleshoot from test platform to device under test (DUT). Problem solving and analytical skills. Able to read schematics and have a basic understanding of Analog and Digital electronics. Good written and verbal communication skills. Basic understanding and be able to read and understand schematics. Strong PC and software skills.
Knowledge of DC test a required. RF test also preferred. Working knowledge of basic test equipment such as DVM's, oscillopscopes, function generators. Working knowledge of basic electronics theories, including analog and digital circuitry and microprocessor controlled digital circuits.
Associates degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics. Would consider extensive experience in electronics in lieu of a degree.
2 years experience in a semiconductor testing environment.
work schedule for this position is Friday through Sunday and every other thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:15 p.m.
