JOB TITLE : Test and Verification Engineer I
REPORTS TO : Engineer IV
SUMMARY : Under supervision, perform a variety of test and verification tasks for turbo machinery control products and systems. Work with assigned engineers and technicians.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OR DUTIES:
- Testing and verification of control products and systems for functionality, performance, reliability and usability.
- Develop test and verification procedures for control products and systems with product developers.
- Document test and verification results for control products and systems as required by quality control procedures.
- Review product technical documentation for product releases.
- Work with assigned engineers and technicians to develop testing and verification process and fixtures.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required.
Education & Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Internship or six months company-related, on-the-job experience.
Knowledge & Skills :
Experience in product testing, PLC programming, PC programming, computer support, HMI, OPC. Working knowledge of MS/Windows OS, Office applications, Visual Basic, MATLAB and LAN.
Language Skills :
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers. Bi-lingual or multi-lingual is a plus.
Mathematical Skills :
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability :
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
WORKING CONDITIONS :
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Some travel is required.
