As a test and release technician at WillowTree Apps, you will be responsible for administering acceptance tests, regression tests, migration tests and exploratory tests; interpreting the results and documenting your findings. This is a technical position so a few years experience, preferably in the software development field, is required in order to be considered a qualified applicant. You need to be detail oriented (that ’s where the devil is), but also creative enough to weed out those edge cases that our automated and manual test cases have missed. You ’ll work with developers and designers to ensure that the clients ’ intent is captured in test cases and in the completed application. |
WillowTree Apps is one of the largest and most respected mobile development companies in the US. Our entire 40+ person team is located in our Charlottesville, VA headquarters. Nothing is outsourced overseas. Our open office environment is designed to facilitate collaboration both among our teams (e.g. a developer walking over to the design team for a clarification or a design tweak) and within each team (e.g. a senior iOS team member pair programming with a junior member).
Our designers and developers are second to none -- with expertise across the nuances of iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows Phone 7, Blackberry and mobile web/HTML5 design best practices. Our team members are frequent speakers at mobile design conferences. We hire the best in the industry.
To apply for the position please be sure to meet the criteria listed below:
- You currently reside in or near Charlottesville, VA or are willing to relocate to the area
- You have worked in a software development company, in some capacity, for at least two years
If you meet the above criteria, please send a cover letter that tells us in less than 3 standard-sized paragraphs what “testing ” means to you. Be sure to include a resume and use the email subject line “Charlottesville Testing Technician ”. Send all application materials to jobs at willowtreeapps dot com.
