Robert Half Technology is looking for an Application Support Specialist to join our clients Software Development Team. This would be a contract to full-time role located in Everett, WA and could start immediately, pending a phone and in-person interview.
Purpose: The Software Support and Tester applies knowledge and experience in a variety of technologies to test and repair software to ensure that it meets or exceeds user needs.
Development Operations: Work with business users to identify, track, and implement fixes for bugs and/or errors in production operating code with minimal impact on the working business.
Application Support: Troubleshoots applications and equipment when necessary. After-hours on-call is a requirement of this position.
Software Deployment: Creates testing and deployment methodologies to minimize downtime and disruption.
Software Development: Works on assigned projects according to business priorities. Creates solid, reliable code by using proven techniques and the intelligent application of available technologies. Engages in dialogue with users to develop software that meets or exceeds user expectations.
Programming Languages: Proficient in MS Visual Studio, C#, ASP.NET, WCF, WFP, Silverlight, ADO.NET, XML, T-SQL programming languages, .NET frameworks and Object Oriented Programming (OOP)
Web Services: Beginner to intermediate knowledge of SOAP web services development and managing websites in a multi-server/multi-site environment.
Database-Driven Site Design: Demonstrates capability with SQL stored procedures, custom functions, and triggers in a database-driven site design environment.
Microsoft Core Technologies: Knowledge of Windows Server 2003/2008/2008R2, IIS 6.0/7.0/7.5, SQL Server 2000/2005/2008/2012 and Active Directory.
Healthcare Technologies: Knowledge and experience with RIS, PACS, DICOM and the implications of HIPAA in relation to software development in medical applications.
Testing and Troubleshooting: Demonstrated experience in established techniques for testing and troubleshooting software. Able to identify problems and generate alternative solutions.
Source Control Technologies: Experience with Visual SourceSafe/TFS.

Education and Experience:
Experience: 1-3 years professional level experience in application development.
Education: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field.
Certifications: MCPD strongly preferred.
Attendance: Regular and predictable attendance is a requirement of this job.
