The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is a bi-state public agency operating some of the busiest and most important transportation links in the New York / New Jersey region including The Port Authority Trans Hudson Corporation (PATH), the primary transit link between Manhattan and New Jersey communities and suburban commuter railroads.
The Tunnels, Bridges and Terminals division is seeking a Tolls Violations Supervisor to manage toll violations recovery. This position will report to the Manager, Replacement Toll Collection System and Revenue Collection. The selected candidate will provide a sustained and unified effort in managing toll violations recovery, and coordinate efforts with internal staff and contractors to ensure that data is transferred accurately, and that all Quality Assurance process are followed, ensuring that performance requirements are met via appropriate Quality Assurance precesses.
THIS IS A PROJECT POSITION for 3 years (subject to annual review).
This position will be located in Jersey City, New Jersey.
Working closely with the customer service unit, the Law Department, Port Authority Police Department (PAPD), you will oversee the entire violations process aimed at collecting tolls and fees due from customers who did not pay upon crossing the Authority¿s bridges and tunnels. You will ensure that data is sound and that processes and procedures are coordinated and tracked. Once settlements are reached, you will be responsible for ensuring that tolls and fees are applied or dismissed as per the settlement terms.
Other responsibilities include, but not limited to:
overseeing coordination with Law Department and PAPD in real-time violations pursuit, in developing violations cases in civil and criminal court, and in providing support as cases are moved through the court process; coordinating violation pursuit with other toll agencies, making recommendations for policies and practices as appropriate, and supervising an Analyst, who will be helping collect and assess data.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years management and supervisory work experience

- Demonstrated conflict resolution and teambuilding skills
