  • Manages Tool Crib department by setting direction and encouraging the achievement of company and departmental goals through the direct supervision of Tool Crib personnel
  • Analyzes information and recommends measures to improve quality of product, production methods and equipment performance, and suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase department and/or shop efficiency
  • Reviews prints and job sheets to identify tooling needs
  • Works with supervisors and set-up personnel to be sure that tooling is available when needed
  • Researches competitive prices and purchases consumables including, but not limited to, drills, inserts, oil, welding supplies, test fittings, cutting tools, hand tools, spill containment, ladders, safety equipment, paint equipment, packaging supplies, office supplies, etc.
  • Stores consumables and stages them for use
  • Repairs or replaces tools, as necessary and appropriate
  • Works with all employees regarding tool needs specific to their assigned responsibilities
  • Processes order requests in an efficient manner
  • Works with appropriate supervisory/management personnel to provide training to department personnel as appropriate and necessary
  • Represents Rosenboom honestly and professionally in all contacts with vendors, customers and Company personnel
  • Communicates, orally and in writing, with vendors and customers
  • Is a productive member of his/her department and adheres to all Rosenboom policies, including safety requirements/procedures, in order to ensure a safe working environment for all Rosenboom employees
  • Regular Invoice reconciling
Preferred Skills:
  • Relative postsecondary degree and/or experience, preferred
  • On site training specific to job responsibilities
  • Position requires lifting—up to 50 pounds
  • Employee is expected to become familiar with work area, production processes and general plant layout
  • Employee is responsible to assigned manufacturing and/or operations manager
  • Employee may be mentored by an experienced employee, as assigned by supervisory personnel
  • Employee is expected to work full shifts with the possibility of some extra daily and/or Saturday hours
  • Commitment to high standards of workmanship, the production of quality products and continuous quality improvement is an expectation of all Rosenboom positions
  • Habits of good attendance and punctuality are an expectations
