      Description

      Plan, develop, layout, fabricate, construct and repair a variety of complicated and complex tooling as required to support all facets of aircraft manufacturing. Such tooling will include all types of production jigs and fixtures, dies, templates, bonding tools, master models, master patterns, master gauges, and trim and form tools. Approve and validate acceptable tools and reject tools that does not meet acceptable criteria. Perform tasks from all types of manufacturing engineering media and/or tool order instructions in the fabrication of complex tooling. Operate various shop equipment, machine tools, power tools and precision measuring equipment to fabricate and assemble tooling including composite material. Check work for completeness and accuracy. Maintain Quality, Schedule and Cost standards. Work from Blueprints, Work Instructions and Engineering Specifications. Notify supervision of any/all malfunctions, defect and damages of equipment, material and product. Adhere to all applicable Environmental, Safety, Health, FOD and Operations Procedures/Directives. Perform Production Accountability duties associated with the processing, verification, quality auditing and inspection of assemblies, parts and tooling, for which the individual has been delegated production accountability. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent vocational or similar training. Minimum of 5 year experience in tool manufacturing including fixture detail fabrication, assembly and maintenance with a minimum of 3 years in the use of optical measuring equipment including laser tracker.
