The Total Remuneration analyst position is responsible for assessing, evaluating and supporting the implementation of compensation and benefit-related related programs. Using an understanding of company and industry business, labor laws, company TR policies and practices, job evaluation techniques, and competitive data, this position provides consultation to an assigned client group.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Corporate TR Philosophy:
Interpret and provide advice and counsel to clients on Corporate TR philosophy, policies, and implications for local TR.
As a participant in local TR design activity, facilitates consideration of over-arching TR philosophy and practices.
Compensation and Benefits Consulting:
Partners with HR Business Partners and/or local TR analysts in the assigned business units to provide compensation and benefits services to organizational business units (customers). (Customers may be located within or outside of the U.S.)
Evaluates and determines the appropriate competitive pay level for new or revised positions using competitive survey data, internal compare positions and/or internal equity reviews and communicates recommendations to position owners.
Participates in or supports participation in compensation surveys, including validating Chevron job matches to survey jobs with management, extracting requested data from HR SAP and other sources, and ensuring survey submittal files are accurate and in compliance with regulatory and Chevron compensation survey policies.
Analyzes competitive compensation survey results, summarizes findings and conclusions, and develops appropriate recommendations. Includes developing various graphs and charts to visually illustrate the company's competitive position.
May partner with local HR/TR in the development of benefit solutions through supporting participation in benefit surveys, analyzing competitive survey data and assessing business drivers, the competitive environment, and impact on the overall TR package of benefit-related proposals.
Navigates and accesses data from HR SAP systems to develop additional source data to address client issues or as source data for various TR-related projects.
Provides mentoring and TR skills development to new or less experienced TR Analysts, HR Business Partners and/or local TR analysts within assigned client group.
Participates on special projects, as requested, and TR package reviews in assigned countries.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business related field.
Minimum 3 years or more of compensation or benefit experience. Qualifying compensation experience would include activities such as point factor job evaluation, competitive survey participation, survey or market data analysis and recommendations (includes Executive, Managerial, Professional, Nonexempt, and/or Hourly data), and compensation counsel on Federal Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
Benefit experience would include benefit design consulting and competitive position analysis.
Salary administration (annual performance ranking and salary determination) would not qualify for compensation experience for this position. Benefit administration would not qualify for benefit experience for this position.
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues and use policy, practices, and data to develop and communicate a recommendation in a clear and concise manner.
Demonstrated understanding of the importance and application of reaching a conclusion based upon data.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proficiency in Excel would include use of excel data manipulation functions (sorting, filtering, use of various statistical formulas). PowerPoint proficiency would include using slide layouts, embedding data into PowerPoint presentations, and developing efficient and properly formatted presentations to communicate issues and findings.
