The primary objective of the Tower Hand is to perform all aspects of tower maintenance and installation.
The Tower Hand is responsible for and has experience with Twin gear, PIM testing, doing sweeps, lighting repairs and maintenance, microwave antenna and line installation, path alignment, tower installation/decommission and equipment operation.
Provide superior customer service ensuring all essential job functions are performed in a timely, efficient, accurate, and safe manner;
Have the ability to use a transit; read a compass; set Azimuths and down tilts based on specifications.
Adhere to all company and industry (i.e., OSHA, NATE) standards/regulations; and
Effective utilization of available resources, technology, and tools to complete work; and
Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Knowledge to Identify, select and utilize the proper cables, ropes, block and tackle for rigging and lifting.
Maintains clean, safe and orderly environment;
Two to four years industry experience
Job related certifications – safety, rescue, Wiltron, CPR etc.
At least a High School Diploma/GED but preferably an Associates degree (A.A.) from a two year college, technical school or equivalent experience.
Anritzu / PIM/ fiber testing certification
Connector certifications i.e.: Andrew, PPC, Com Scope, etc. (desired)
OSHA 10 (required) or 30 (preferred), RF Awareness certification (desired)
First aid/CPR (required)
