Description
The Trade Specialist Jr. is responsible for the accurate and timely Advising and Issuance of Letters of Credit and Amendments, examination of documents presented, and the processing of payments, within the established performance standards for the department. This position description is not an exhaustive listing of responsibilities or duties that may be required of persons assigned to the postion. Also, the position description may be modified at any time without notice, at the discretion of management.The Trade Specialist Jr. will be required to review and process incoming Letters of Credit and Amendments, examine documents presented, and process associated payments, utilizing the appropriate operating systems. The Trade Specialist Jr. must realize a basic understanding of the current version of the applicable standard banking practices, Division and Bank-wide policies and proecedures, following the completion of the training period.Candidates should possess good analytical and problem-solving skills as required to resolve inconsistencies within Trade transactions with the appropriate parties. The ability to identify and escalate any potential issues to supervision is imperative.Ability to mitigate risk by way of proper financial and / or reputational review of all transactions processed is mandatory.The employee will be required to develop working relationships with both 'internal and external' customers through verbal and written communication; therefore, good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Qualifications
High School diploma. 2-year college degree preferred. Banking or corporate setting experience preferred
