This position is a time-limited position ( estimated duration through October 31st ) assigned to the Painting Section of BMNMTC Maintenance. Position is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.

The major duties of this position include, but are not limited to: Mixing and matching prime coats for new or repaired building components. Mixing base paint with tints to match paints to existing interior and exterior walls.
Restoring trim deterioration due to damage. Select and use proper equipment in a safe manner such as brushes, rollers, ladders and scaffolding. Apply knowledge and experience to properly apply oil, water and base to any surface for aesthetic and protective requirements. Patch holes in existing structures, filling, taping, and sanding plaster. Prepare and select tools, equipment and mix materials for texturing ceilings.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies:

Working knowledge of the standard practices and methods of the painting trade. Skill in mixing paints and in matching and blending colors. Skill in the use and care of tools and equipment used in the painting trade.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Completion of grammar and one year of progressive experience
in the performance of tasks associated with the painting trade.
