The Trademark Counsel is responsible for managing the global trademark portfolio for select GE businesses, as well as supporting performing other tasks to support the Trademark team.
Manage the global trademark portfolio for assigned GE businesses including reviewing and managing search projects, filing applications, and managing prosecution, registration-related issues and adversarial matters including oppositions, cancellation and litigation
Conduct US preliminary and comprehensive trademark searches
Draft cease and desist letters related to trademark matters
Conduct legal research and provide counseling for business clients on various trademark, copyright, licensing, rights of publicity and related matters
Prepare responses to substantive US office actions
Assist with department simplification projects including outside counsel management, docketing and other workflow function process improvements
JD or equivalent from an accredited law school
Minimum 1 year of experience working with Trademarks and related legal matters
Member in good standing / admitted to practice law in one or more US States
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
