Career Opportunity The Trader role provides a qualified candidate with a position on the firm ’s trading desk, and will primarily involve international trading on the firm ’s international equity funds and hedge fund. As a member of the trading desk, this position will serve under the head trader and will serve as a back-up to the domestic trading as well. The key focus, however, will be on international trading and the specific administrative tasks related to the trading. Essential Job Functions Trade and settle a variety of equities using quantitative portfolio trading strategies Asset classes include International and Emerging Markets, Small Cap Value / Domestic equities, and Long-Short Trading style consists of quantitatively focused, electronic portfolio trading While trading is an essential job function, the majority of your time will be spent on settlements Execute orders for the three international funds and international hedge fund Provide portfolio managers with market commentary and assist with local market trading characteristics Respond to international corporate actions Communicate trade details to custodians and resolve settlement issues with brokers Primary back-up for domestic trading Essential Qualifications • 3-5 years ’ experience in trading (similar to that described above), including thorough knowledge of settlements • Bachelor°s degree, preferably in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics or a quantitative field • Proficient in Bloomberg and Microsoft Office • Accuracy, attention to detail • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written • Highly motivated, hard working, with the ability to work independently on several projects simultaneously Reports to: Sonya Thadhani, Chief Investment Officer, Wealth Management; Chief Risk Officer Compensation: $90k and competitive and benefits package, including: Medical, Dental, Life " AD"D Insurance, Dependent Life Insurance, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Long Term Care, Medical Flex Spending Account, Dependent Care Flex Spending Account, Health Savings Account, 401(k), Roth 401(k), Travel Accident and Employee Assistance Program.
