THE RESPONSIBILITIES :
The Broadcast Traffic Coordinator's objectives are to facilitate the internal workflow, manage the technical process to allow the coordination and release of digital transmissions of Broadcast quality media materials to the correct television and radio stations for the assigned clients.
Day to Day Duties
Plan, organize, activate and control the day-to-day technical operational process regarding managing the transmitting of scripts, correct dates, media buys, elements, logo codes and all required materials to the appropriate media outlet
Coordinate with the Media Dept. all client media schedules
Maintain up to date of all media contacts for the Agency
Facilitate telephone confirmation calls for Radio and TV
Liaison between StudioZ and Agency
Contact point for station reps, and Traffic Depts. of stations
Work closely with various vendors to meet agency needs
Create DG/FC digital orders to communicate traffic instructions and release distribution of all Radio and TV spots to stations
Create & distribute Traffic Instructions to each station for all Broadcast media distribution
Follow up and ensure that agency procedures are followed
Monitor all scripts as they arrive into the Traffic Dept.
Schedule Broadcast jobs in JMS upon arrival to department, change fields as required in JMS for information to easily migrate to PTCAT
Work closely with A/S team as questions arise on scripts and areas are not completed by A/S
Maintain historical records of current broadcast jobs
Create/Receive and distribute dub order requests
Track all spot/station downloads daily via DG/FC
Track and update all broadcast jobs to ensure they remain on schedule.
Coordinate courier deliveries
Create and coordinate all Purchase Orders for the scheduled daily runs by various Couriers Services upon request
Electronically confirm and check all dub orders as they arrive to Studio-Z deliver dubs directly
Prepare estimates for research, dubbing, talent, etc. as requested and dictated by traffic responsibilities
Coordinate traffic interactive campaigns
Conduct competitive searches upon request
Conduct talent searches upon request
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or relevant, equivalent experience.
Must be computer literate with proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook/Express, with the ability to learn new computer systems.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks while working independently
Strong attention to detail
A strong sense of urgency and commitment to get the job done quickly and with high quality
The ability to communicate, both written and verbal, with people at all levels of an organization
