Position Summary:
Carling Communications, Inc. is a San Diego-based, full-service professional services firm that specializes in marketing, advertising, and physician communications within the pharmaceutical and specialty biotechnology industries. The Traffic Manager leads the Traffic Coordinator in the Traffic Department and is responsible for managing projects from inception to completion to ensure efficient and timely delivery of client materials. Through exceptional organizational and communication skills, the Traffic Manager works with multiple departments and the Traffic Coordinator to ensure the execution and management of timelines and workflow to meet client goals and objectives.

Basic Responsibilities:

Leads the traffic team to ensure timely and efficient delivery of client materials

*

Creates and manages the creation of internal timelines for all deliverables

*

Maintains effective and efficient workflow of agency materials

*

Works with all internal departments to ensure team members are on task and on time

*

Manages, prioritizes and re-arranges workflow through Shared Services based on client priority, deadlines and available resources

*

Maintains strong working relationships with other departments to ensure open lines of communications regarding priorities and requirements

*

Manages and outsources resources for the Shared Services team, as necessary

*

Works to effectively resolve any problems

*

Takes ownership of and enforces agency processes.

*

Continually works to improve companys internal process both independently and by providing meaningful feedback to other departments

*

Recommends processes and other improvements to enhance efficiency, including systems and/or software recommendations

*

Diplomatic yet assertive in communication style maintaining positive relationships with all agency staff

*

Provides meaningful input as to the performance of other employees in all departments

*

Maintains a high level attention to detail

*

Maintains a professional and positive attitude

*

Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
*

Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Advertising or equivalent discipline required

*

3-5 years traffic, project management or account management experience, preferably within a high volume advertising agency

*

Pursuing PMP or certification a plus

*

Must be self-motivated, professional, detail oriented, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills

*

Comfortable working under pressure within tight deadlines

*

Advanced PC experience with all MS Office Suite
