Job Summary:
The Trainer, Sales Learning & Development will be responsible for the delivery of both sales and business training curriculum for employees. The position involves the effective implementation of pro-active and responsive solutions for continuous learning in sales, functional and business unit performance for a national, industry-leading organization.

Essential Functions:
Develop and maintain an understanding of the company and its business models, operations processes, products, services and organizational structure.

Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external project participants.

Ability to travel to conduct sales training – expected 33 - 50% travel.

Analyze sales training needs and facilitate both workshops and training programs for the sales organization.

Assist in content creation and development to meet sales organization needs.

Deliver training modules related to selling and interpersonal skills, company systems, processes and programs that support the sales and business objectives of the organization.

Help monitor the effectiveness and identify additional needs/gaps/opportunities of training techniques and curriculum as they relate to sales, business functions and organizational needs.

Work with sales leadership to identify sales training opportunities to increase sales effectiveness.

Provide timely performance feedback to sales trainees, functional leaders, supervisors and corporate executives after completing training sessions.

May be assigned to specific outside or inside sales channels, customer-facing support functions, technology adoption (e.g. or projects as required by the needs of the business.

Perform other responsibilities as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong communication, written and verbal skills.

Competency with Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Microsoft Power Point.

Equally skilled in the development and delivery of learning curriculum for outside and inside (telephone-based) sales channels; and customer-facing support functions.

Experience with virtual learning delivery and tools for online meetings and cloud-based content distribution.

Knowledge of performance systems including competencies, behavioral indicators, goal setting, and associated developmental activities.

Excellent facilitation skills with a strong presence capable of leading training at all levels of the organization.

Ability to improve teamwork and communication by creating a climate of trust and cooperation.

Demonstrate a commitment to the objectives of continuous learning and development.

Comfortable using and demonstrating mobile technology (e.g. iPhone, iPad).

Comfortable working with and presenting to management and senior executives.

Comfortable addressing external audiences at trade events and conferences.

Knowledge of internet search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM).

Innovative, detail-oriented, decisive and flexible.

Qualifications, Training, and Experience:
Bachelor Degree is required.

Minimum of five (5) years sales and business training experience is required.

Must be able to excel in a team environment and effectively manage multiple, concurrent priorities.

Experience delivering training to inside / telephone sales and support is desired.

Master’s degree in education or similar study preferred.

Previous sales management experience is preferred.

Proficiency with a CRM system, is preferred.

Proficiency with popular Content Management Systems (e.g. Articulate, Captivate) and Learning Management Systems (e.g. Blackboard) is preferred.

Experience in the multifamily industry is preferred.

Advertising sales experience preferred.
