Under the supervision of the Manager of Training and Staff Development, the trainer will provide training and support to all SRVS staff in an effort to ensure the agency is in compliance with all internal and external training requirements. The trainer will also obtain teaching certification on American Red Cross CPR and First Aid, Crisis Prevention and Interventions, and Professional Crisis Management. Duties will also include data entry, paper processing and filing. The instructor will be responsible for teaching night new hire and recertification classes and monitor the new hire classes. Approximate shift is 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. which may vary.
An Associate’s degree is required, Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Two years training experience is also preferred. Must have excellent computer skills along with exceptional organizational, presentation, and class management skills. Applicant is not required to currently be certified to teach these classes, but will be required to take day-time instructor certification training.
