How you will contribute:
This position will be accountable for the development and implementation of trainings that will include employee, leadership, sales, and technical training. The Training and Development Specialist will have the opportunity to use their talent development expertise to partner with the business units in developing trainings to achieve business objectives and will be responsible for managing the companyâs learning management system. The position will require extensive coordination with various levels of the organization to focus on developing leaders for the future. Identifying leadership and employee developmental needs, as well as overall development opportunities for the organization, and development of strategic training & education plans will also be essential functions of this role. Establishing a process for evaluating training effectiveness and making suggestions for improvements will be expected. Other activities include talent management initiatives and special projects.
What you need to qualify:
Ahern will help make the most of your Bachelor degree in a related field. Five to seven years of experience in designing and effectively facilitating corporate training programs is preferred. You can stand out above other candidates by having previous experience with instructional design, working with an online learning management system, and experience with e-learning software such as Captivate is preferred. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment will be essential. Excellent communication and facilitation skills, strong time management and proficiency in MS Office Suite will be required. If you are ready to demonstrate this expertise, Ahern wants you!
