Position: Training Coordinator
Program: Residential Services Division
Reports to: Senior Program Director
Supervises: Training Specialist
The Training Coordinator under the general direction of the Program Director ensures that training programs offered to staff provide relevant information and sill development necessary to provide quality services to clients, as well as meet state licensing, program, and contract standards. Through the evaluation process, ensures that skills are developed in trainings and schedule additional trainings, if necessary. Maintain evaluations of training in order to provide valuable feedback from all program participants to shape and refine trainings offered. Provide screening, direction and liaison work with volunteers to meet the needs of clients in the most normalized manner possible.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Behaviorial Sciences, Human Services, Social Services, or Education is required
Experience: Must have a minimum of two years’ experience conducting employee training. Must be able to obtain and maintain instructor level certifications in First Aid/CPR, and SAMA-Non-violent Crisis Intervention. Must have experience in public speaking and training environments. Must also have experience in evaluating and tracking skills and competencies at the end of each training. Experience working with the children in a residential setting.
Supervises: Training Specialist

Major Responsibilities:
Observe all agency policies and procedures.
Develop and implement a monthly staff training schedule that meets state licensing, contractual, agency standards.
Develop and implement a training tracking system for all staff trainings, including placing documentation of training in personnel files.
Develop and implement pre-service and in-service programs for program staff and coordinate implementation of training programs.
Develops and maintains a systematic process for the oversight of administration of agency contracts, grants and other purchase service agreements.
Provide periodic case file reviews and audits in order to judge compliance with state, contractual and agency standards. Makes recommendations for needed changes.
Prepares reports for administrative review.
Assists in the coordination and preparation for scheduled Licensing, Level of Service and other contract audits.
Conducts data analysis as requested by the Executive Director/ Associate Executive Director.

Assists in the orientation of employees.
Responsible for timely completion of assignments and adapts to changing workloads to include work in evenings and weekends and holidays as needed.
Serves as Youth Council Director and Youth Grievance Coordinator,
Practices within the highest ethics and standards of their identified profession and BCFS.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships between all stakeholders and other community resources.
Assist with counseling and case management services for clients, as necessary. Intervenes in crisis situations as needed (assisting with a transports, combative client, potential suicide attempt, runaway, angry family).
