Department(s): Ramp & Aircraft Appearance Reports to: General Manager & Training Manager Job Summary: The Training Coordinator is responsible for conducting training programs that instruct employees on serving the needs of the individual airline and the associated servicing requirements of their aircraft in accordance with individual airline and JetStreams policies and procedures.Summary of Essential Job Functions: The Training Coordinator is responsible for some or all of the following duties in accordance with policies and procedures and within specified time parameters: Develop and/or conduct initial and recurrent aircraft appearance or servicing training programs for all shifts (1st, 2nd & 3rd). Plan and carry-out work assignments, and handle challenges, in accordance with instructions, policies, previous training or accepted practices. Train new hire employees and perform the same work as the group (on-the-job training) on a regular basis. All new hires will be trained on a deep clean regardless of the shift he/she will be assigned to. Work with and lead employees in building morale or individual knowledge levels in order to improve work performance. Re-train employees that fail customer audits including 3rd shift. Maintain a high level of customer service with both internal and external customers. Assume other duties as required by the Training Manager and/or General Manager – or other members of the department leadership team. Required to work all shifts as needed, including 3rd shift
Minimum Requirements: The following are minimum requirements for the Training Coordinator position: Able to maintain a well groomed and professional appearance Pass a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) 10-year background check and pre-employment drug test Pass a Department of Homeland Security/Transportation Security Administration (TSA) security assessment Legally eligible to work in the United States Possess the highest regard for confidentiality and professionalism Must be self-motivated with strong organizational skills, able to prioritize work, be detail oriented and meet established deadlines The following are preferred qualifications for the Training Coordinator position: Previous airline operations experience or a four year degree or equivalent work experience in adult education, business or related field Excellent attendance and work performance Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem solving skills and able to think outside the box' when necessary Excellent leadership and customer service/people skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interface on all levels within the organization and airline environment Abilities Required: A Training Coordinator must be able to: Sit, stand, bend and/or stoop for periods of time Lift 50 pounds Walk up/down stairs and/or jet bridge stairs at various angles Learn the various types of aircraft in the airlines fleet and their individual cleaning and servicing requirements Learn and demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of aircraft cabins and doors, as well as individual airline and JetStreams policies and procedures related to aircraft door operation Able to work under pressure in a team environment Able to work in a fast-paced environment and under tight time constraints Able to handle multiple tasks and seek assistance from fellow team members when necessary Interact directly with customers, airline personnel and fellow team members to resolve problems and issues that may arise during any shift including 3rd shift The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
