Position Description Summary:
Responsible for all phases of developing and implementing training programs, practices, and procedures. Scope of responsibility may include supervisory and/or management development, operations training, and technical or non technical skills training courses for internal staff. Interface with functional organizations to perform needs and/or task assessment. Determine optimal delivery method, media and documentation. Deliver instruction via most appropriate method. This may include, but is not limited to, classroom instruction, facilitated discussion, hands-on learning, or CBT. Conduct training evaluations to determine applicability of course material and effectiveness of training.
Principal Accountabilities (The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.):
" Interpret, develop, revise and implement training programs and corresponding course material to develop all levels of employees
" Assist in development and revision of training programs and corresponding course material
" Design, develop, and deliver computer-based training using instructional systems design, and authoring, graphics, and deployment software
" Coordinate class logistics and conduct training classes
" Develop, generate, maintain, and analyze training reports to assess and adjust deviations from training as required to achieve objectives
" Monitor employees technical training certification status to ensure enough employees are certified to meet business objectives
" Assist with monitoring training related costs to ensure costs are within budget guidelines
" Conduct operational audits and develop recommendations
" Advise and consult management regarding employee training and development programs
Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills Required for Position:
" Bachelor s degree or equivalent strongly preferred
" Generally prefer 1 to 4 years of related experience
" Position requires extensive travel
" Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office products
" Prefer knowledge of instruction design systems and authoring software
" Solid presentation, communication and analytical skills preferred
