The Training Lead reports directly to the Program Manager and manages the day-to-day activities of the training content developers to deliver the 2013 Training Program initiatives including, but not limited to:

Define and implement standards for course content including training manuals, job aids, and supplemental training materials

Develop course curriculum and training modules for all users of the Oracle PLM system

Develop trainer toolkit to be used for classroom, WebEx, and e-Learning modules

Develop self-paced training modules for online/self-paced training

Assist in content review sessions with Business Leads and other project team members

Assist in assessment and implementation of Learning Management System

Maintain application SharePoint (external) site which is central location for all training materials with internal application

Coordinate, plan, and track all training deliverables for related projects that require training content development and/or training delivery

Handle all scheduling & logistics for training events

Conduct monthly WebEx training

Roles & Responsibilities

The Training Content Developer will be responsible for the following tasks:

Project Coordination:
Work with Business Leads to coordinate, plan, and track training deliverables/milestones for projects that require training content development and/or training delivery

Attend and coordinate meetings with Subject Matter Experts – Business Leads, other project managers, management, etc. to identify training requirements

Work with training team to manage and track all training deliverables and milestones, as well as scope/define the training strategy – i.e. curriculum design, instructional design, etc.

Assist in the evaluation, configuration, and implementation of the Learning Management System or similar tool

Facilitate meetings with other project team members to identify training requirements and scope

Assist with providing training development scope and estimates for new software releases – bug fixes, enhancements as part of the release management process

Manage all updates of new materials to the SharePoint training site

Training Delivery:
Manage all training logistics for WebEx training sessions

Update SharePoint calendar to reflect training schedule

Set-up all WebEx training sessions

Send emails to registered users

Track and report all user completion of training

Send training evaluations at end of each training

Manage cancellations, no shows, rescheduled users

Conduct monthly WebEx training

Conduct training for project deployments, as needed

Stage/prepare and test training data/examples in the training environment that will be used in the training session

Content Development:
Design and develop training guides, job aids and supplemental training material based on Business Leads and Subject Matter Experts (SME) input

Learn tool and understand its use by various business functions

Re-design existing training content (manuals, job aids, etc.) to incorporate defined standards to ensure consistent look and feel of all training materials

Design and develop trainer toolkit for instructor-led and virtual classroom training that consists of PowerPoint slide decks, class evaluations, training exercises and knowledge checks/quizzes

Develop interactive, audio-based content using multimedia authoring tools such as Captivate

Work closely with Training Business Leads and Subject Matter Experts to obtain signoff & approval of developed content prior to release and use

Critical Qualifications & Competencies:
Excellent communication & presentation skills are required.

Very strong organization skills are required to support timely completion of multiple tasks and workstreams

Excellent writing skills with the ability to organize the learning flow and concepts in a precise and user-friendly manner

Ability to grasp new concepts and functionality that is quickly transitioned into accurate and effective learning content

Demonstrated ability to work independently to create and implement solutions and manage requests across multiple functions and geographies

At least 5 years of Instructional design and/or content development experience with knowledge of methodologies, writing standards, and needs assessment

Project Management experience required

Instructor-Led training experience required

Captivate 5.0 and higher experience required; other Flash authoring tools a plus

Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint a plus

Advanced Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills

Basic understanding and ability to edit audio and video for online courses and presentations

Experience with Oracle PLM for Process is preferred
