PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Own the full spectrum of Managed
Markets training and development responsibilities, including
consulting with sales and marketing leaders, designing training
& development strategies that integrate with the business
strategies, managing and executing project plans, managing the
associated budget and vendors and measuring results with an eye
towards continuous improvement.

This position is responsible for
setting the development strategy for the Managed Markets
Account Management Team with an emphasis on customer
engagement, business acumen, healthcare reform, marketplace
knowledge and reimbursement tools and services

The Managed Markets Organizational
Development Specialist will lead the skills gap analysis
activities and in consultation with the client group sets the
strategy to close those gaps

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Align organization on Managed
Markets organizational development and field force
effectiveness initiatives

Set strategic development plans
for Managed Markets that are integrated with functional
business plans

Direct Area Business Directors,
Directors of Strategic Accounts and Directors of Customer
Relations on implementation, follow up, and coaching of
business processes and SAM/KAM/TLL skills in conjunction with
Heads of Sales.

Design, develop and execute
modules and programs that support consistent Managed Markets
process and tools across therapeutic areas. Ensure the
continuous integration and training of the business side of
healthcare (Managed Markets) across TAs. This includes the
design, development, and execution of learning experiences
for the field sales organization and internal support
teams.

Lead the design, development and
execution of Managed Markets POA workshops through
cross-functional collaboration.

Apply adult-learning model and
processes for all field force members learning experiences
that ensure transfer of knowledge and skills to field
application and achievement of measurable business
results.

Conducts needs assessments and
provide ongoing GAP analysis to align learning objectives
with required behaviors for field force members to attain
success.

Coordinate, communicate, develop
and facilitate modules and programs to support the consistent
Managed Markets process and tools ensuring consistency with
Shared Services training strategy.

Design RFPs, select vendors and
manage vendor relationship

Execute in-field work-withs to
identify advanced skill applications and skill gap areas, as
well as providing in field developmental support.

Manage Training and Development
initiatives for on-boarding new Regional Account Managers and
National Account Managers

Create and conduct relevant
assessments and surveys to identify talent and development
opportunities

Develop relevant
push-through/pull through training activities that align with
business objectives

Serve as subject matter expert
for all business of heathcare training initiatives

Through collaboration with Sales
Training colleagues, provide new hire Managed Markets
education, training and assessment for all field forces and
sales management groups.

Conduct, analyze and report
evaluation measures of customer satisfaction and validation
for learning experiences and provide evaluation measures of
application and business impact for major training
curriculum.

Responsible for the effective
implementation of Managed Markets Field & Home study
training curriculum

Identify, prioritize, develop
and implement learning programs to meet business unit Managed
Markets specific needs and priorities to include: product
launches, national meetings, competitive response, marketing
programs.

Effectively manage budget

Keep abreast of new training
developments, methods and techniques to implement effective
learning experiences for key stake holders

Edit training materials for
educational effectiveness

Continually refine business of
healthcare curriculum to align with evolving business
priorities

Create metrics and assess impact
of training programs

Provide project management
structure to deploy business of healthcare training
solutions

Represent EMD Serono at various
conventions and functions

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s required. Masters
degree preferred.

In house training experience
required: Minimum 3 years preferred.

Managed Markets experience
required.

Management and Leadership
Development experience preferred

Sales experience: Minimum 5
years required in Key Account Management.

Sales Management experience
preferred

Experience in adult education
principles competency modeling preferred.

Needs to be a highly motivated
self-starter with the commitment to see projects to their
completion.

Demonstrates creative thinking
and a willingness to implement new approaches.

Possesses excellent organization
and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrates strong presentation
and moderator skills.

Requires computer expertise in
MS Office, Lotus Notes & business writing skills.

Successful demonstration of

ability to integrate divergent information and develop
project plans and actions

Possesses a customer focus
mindset

Strong ability to execute with a

Oncology experience a
plus
