DESCRIPTION

To provide a service within the organization and implement all Training Programs. Strong problem solving abilities to assist providers and staff working within our EMR system.

DUTIES

Other duties may be assigned.

  • Customer service training will be the primary function, but also able to train on a variety of areas (including personal development skills)
  • Confer with management, supervisors and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies
  • Formulate teaching outlines and determine instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings and workshops
  • Select or develop teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference workshops
  • Conduct training sessions covering specified areas such as on-the-job training, use of computers and software, interpersonal skills, quality & process issues, and product knowledge
  • Test trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training
  • Report on progress of employees under guidance during training periods. Maintain trainee records Develops, writes and coordinates training materials working with Manager for specific details. The training materials should include: course content, visual charts, videotapes, slides, etc. Types initial and/or final drafts of materials.
  • Prepares training videotapes and/or films; maintains library of video and film training aids. Schedules training sessions within individual training programs ensuring facility setup, audiovisual setup and employee notification.
  • Handle introductions of topic specialists at the start of training sessions and provides courses in such a way to stimulate and motivate attendees. Develops a means of measuring the effectiveness of divisional training programs through testing, etc.
  • Facilitate evening or weekend classes as needed
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise Associates in a training environment. Oversee company reps, acting in the role of "training instructor" for a specific training issue or initiative. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the training department procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous training experience or one year related experience, or equivalent combination of education experience
  • Ability to interpret technical data, processes, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to develop and proof training materials
  • Ability to speak effectively, creative ability, writing proficiency, visual graphic design ability.
  • Good organizer, meticulous, and good public speaker at ease moderating large groups.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:1. College-level degree in one or more of the following:
  • Communications /Business Administration
  • Personnel Relations /Human Resources
  • Teaching
2. Minimum one (1) years' prior training or teaching.
3. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
4. Management experience preferred.
5. Healthcare experience preferred.
6. EMR knowledge and experience.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
  • Able to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team
  • Comfortable communicating with all levels of management
  • Excellent computer skills (experience with Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Proven presentation/facilitation skills
