Design and execute training programs that incorporate classroom, on-line, on-the-job, self-paced and other learning.
Facilitate training classes, seminars and selling strategies to all sales and management employees.
Ensures that training plans and programs are consistent with overall SWS strategies, reflecting best practices and consistencies with other markets initiatives, as well as assists in the on-going development of training curriculums.
Research, identify, implement and maintain new opportunities for supporting training needs and goals.
Identify on-going business needs to be addressed and satisfied by meaningful, action-oriented training.
Manages the Coaching Call program and feedback from exchanged from Managers to Sales Consultants.
Oversees the Learning Management System and eLearning system for training modules.
Collaborate with Supplier Partners to develop selling tools and materials that promote SWS’ training programs.
Oversee the scheduling and coordinating of training classes.
Maintain master training tracker of participants and results.
Maintain training material supplies and keep them up to date.
Communicates training updates and initiatives at general sales meetings.
Conduct training sessions as a certified instructor of responsible alcohol consumption program sponsored by Indiana Excise Police.
Prepare and monitor annual Educational / Training Fund, track budget.
Assist in overseeing recognition and awards celebrations and strategic supplier growth initiatives.
Recruiting and interviewing for open positions within the organization.
Acts as a liaison between sales department and other company departments.
Extended hours during holidays and may include some weekends.
Performs other work related duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
5+ years training experience including managing professional training staff, creating and delivering programs for sales representatives, managers and executives
Experience working in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix organization with multiple off site operations
Strong written and verbal skills.
Ability to prioritize and organize workload in order to meet deadlines.
Wine/Industry knowledge to include basic understanding of distribution, wine varietals, and leading spirit categories.
