CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING AND SELECTION: COLSA Corporation is seeking candidates for a Joint Missile Defense Instructor to support Joint Missile Defense Training and Education. This highly skilled professional will support ballistic missile defense training and education team as a platform Instructor. Candidate must possess an understanding of the ISD process with appropriate computer skills to develop and maintain courseware. Candidate must have a strong stage presence for delivering BMDS material to and interacting with a wide range of audiences. Audiences will range from warfighters to interns and engineers and possess ranks from contractor/GS/active duty with ranks from entry-level to 4-star general.
Individual must be adaptive and flexible to customer demands and available for travel up to one trip per month. Experience in theater operations or specific IAMD mission sets are preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent experience.
• Progressive military experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Minimum of ten years related experience.
Proven, excellent platform instruction, communication, collaboration and teaming skills are required.
Experience in a training organization desired.
Experience in theater operations or IAMD system qualification required. Previous experience with Instructional Systems Development (ISD) is highly desired.
Must be proactive in working with students, peers, customers, and managers to achieve time-constrained goals.
Capability to support a challenging and dynamic training environment is a must.
Ability to rapidly absorb large amounts of complicated technical and operational details and transmit this information to students rapidly and effectively.
CONUS and OCONUS (passport) MTT travel is required.
Minimum of a SECRET security clearance required.
Knowledge of missile defense weapon systems (GMD, Aegis, Patriot, THAAD, etc.), and missile defense sensor systems (satellite and radar systems) is desired. Experience with satellite command and control operations, satellite communications systems, and Combatant Command missile warning/missile defense architectures are desired. Experience and knowledge of theater level communications architectures is desired. Joint Operations experience, experience on Major Command, Joint, and/or combined staffs is desired (Air Force or Army Major Commands, United States Strategic Command, United States Northern Command, Joint staff, etc.), particularly in the areas of 3, 5, 6 or 7-shops is preferred. Experience in operation center operations is highly desirable. Experience from being stationed and/or TDY in a theater conducting theater operations highly desired. Experience in maintaining academic curriculum using ISD processes and principles is preferred.
