Based at our site in Waterford , Ireland we are looking for a Training Specialist to support the roll out of our biotrue launch project during a 12 months contract.

The Training Specialist will be responsible for supporting, facilitating and leading training and development programmes in support of the plant objectives and strategy

Principle Job Responsibilities/Outputs :
Liase with production managers to identify training needs and to coordinate and schedule training activity

Manage the execution of training plans, monitoring progress and initiating corrective action as necessary to rectify deviations

To produce weekly/monthly metrics in line with training plans

Develop, coach and support instructors in all aspects of the fulfilment of their role

Monitor and report on plant compliance to the Training System in accordance with Bausch and Lomb policies and procedures

Maintain and update the Learning Management System

To maintain and record all training activity, and to perform regular audits of the training system

To continuously evaluate training effectiveness to meet performance targets

Participate as required, in a training related role, in projects and activities that are pertinent to the needs of the business and the provision of training support

Key cGMP Responsibilities:
Follow Standard Operating Procedures while carrying out tasks within manufacturing operations at all times
Follow Gowning Procedures and entry rules for all manufacturing and other controlled areas
Understand and follow Personal Hygiene Rules as defined in the GMP Training Programme
Participate fully in all GMP training programs as identified and complete all Training Records in an accurate and timely manner

The Individual

Third Level qualification in Training & Development is preferable

Experience and understanding of training systems/cycle (from identification needs to evaluation methods)

Exposure to working within an automated technical environment

History of improving training methods and experience in design of training

Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

Flexible approach to work and high degree of initiative

Exposure to multifunctional departments/levels

Effectiveness in planning, execution and organisation

People orientated, combined with commitment to achievements of targets and results

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge of regulatory requirements / auditing

Computer literate essential with knowledge of Learning Management Systems desirable
