    JOB TITLE: Training Specialist FLSA: Non-Exempt

    REPORTS TO: Manager, Education & Development Grade: I


    Responsible for the facilitation, evaluation and updating of training programs for the medical group and corporate projects in accordance with departmental processes and procedures. .



    ? Consistently exhibits behavior and communication skills that demonstrate HealthCare Partners’ (HCP) commitment to superior customer service, including quality, care and concern with each and every internal and external customer.

    ? Facilitates hands on computer training to Clinical Staff and others in a group or individualized sessions.

    ? Responsible for the delivery of Technical Training for Clinical Staff on HCP's Enterprise EHR System.

    ? Provides procedural and service training to new hires and existing staff.

    ? Serves as a resource for HCP clients.

    ? Coordinates and schedules training programs.

    ? Supports Manager, Education and Development in all training and development programs and initiatives.

    ? Supports Senior Training Specialists with design, facilitations and evaluation of training programs.

    ? Evaluates training material such as outlines, text, slides and handouts.

    ? Travels to training sites as requested.

    ? Participates in meetings and committees as requested.

    ? Uses, protects, and discloses HCP patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.

    ? Performs additional duties as assigned.


    Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college and/or a professional certification requiring formal education beyond a two-year college. °

    Professional certifications in instructional design or platform delivery preferred.


    Minimum: °

    Over 1 year and up to and including 3 years of experience in classroom facilitation with groups of 10-15, conducting needs assessments and evaluation training programs and materials.


    - Profient in EHR - Allscripts Enterprise experience

    - Experience in customer service training.

    - Experienced with blended learning styles.

    - Experience in customer service training.


    Computer literate. °

    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. °

    Proficient in operating computer keyboards, telephones, fax machines and motor vehicles. °

    Proficient in creating training materials and documentation. °

    Strong verbal and written communication skills. °

    Strong presentation skills. °

    Ability to transfer knowledge to clients with diverse cultural backgrounds, educational experiences and learning styles. °

    Demonstrated ability to listen, confirm understanding and effectively meet customers needs °

    Strong critical thinking skills. °

    Detail-oriented. °

    Ability to learn quickly, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. °

    Valid CA driver’s license, insurance and vehicle for work-related travel.
