b . DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(1 ) Accomplishe s forma l trainin g action s throug h th e Pipelin e Management Syste m (PMS) . Validate s complete d forma l schoo l applications . Enter s eligibl e personnel int o upgrad e trainin g (UGT ) an d ensure s continue d eligibilit y fo r training . Review s ANG forma l schoo l allocation s throug h th e Trainin g Opportunitie s Networ k (TOPNET)and Electroni c Trainin g Catalo g Applica tio n (ETCA) . Maintain s generate d listing s o f personnel attendin g school . Coordinate s wit h highe r headquarters , a s necessary , t o suppor t formal schoo l requirement s fo r manday s an d funding . Receive s cours e bookin g form s an d line numbers . Assist s student s wit h preparation s t o ente r school , includin g preparin g orders an d ou t processin g students . Serve s a s uni t poin t o f contac t t o resolv e an y problems encountere d b y student s durin g forma l trainin g courses . (2 ) Monitor s th e Extensio n Cours e Institut e (ECI)/Caree r Developmen t Course (CDC ) progra m i n regar d t o EC I policies ; provide s advic e t o commanders , supervisors, an d uni t trainin g manager s o n matter s pertainin g t o ECI/CD C programs . Conducts quarterl y inventor y o f saf e containin g CD C tes t materia l i n accordanc e wit h regulatory guidance . Enroll s personne l i n CD C course s an d monitor s progress . Administer s and control s en d o f cours e examinations . (3 ) Ensure s Uni t Trainin g Manager s (UTMs) , Additiona l Dut y Trainin g Managers (ADTMs) , supervisors , trainers , certifier s , an d trainee s ar e familia r wit h th e concepts, scope , objective s an d procedure s pertainin g t o o n - th e - jo b trainin g (OJT) . Maintains curren t computer - generate d managemen t informatio n produc t listing s o f al l personne l on (OJT) . Ensure s trainee s mee t al l r equirement s fo r completio n o f trainin g prio r t o upgrade o f skil l level . Identifie s no n - productiv e personne l i n OJ T status , an d recommends appropriat e correctiv e actio n t o supervisors , uni t trainin g personnel , an d commanders. Conduct s workcente r visits . Develops , analyzes , oversees , an d facilitate s uni t and individua l trainin g programs . Advise s commander , supervisors , trainin g managers, trainers , certifiers , an d trainee s o n uni t trainin g progra m progres s an d issues.
(5 ) Implement s an d d istribute s periodi c change s i n trainin g an d assignment requirement s fro m USAF , a s wel l a s notificatio n o f Ai r Forc e Specialt y Code s (AFSC) consolidation . Conduct s audit s t o ensur e al l personne l ar e qualifie d t o maintain appropriate Air Force Specialty Codes (AFSCs) . Review s an d processe s request s for waivers , involvin g trainin g an d retraining , an d forward s wit h locall y generated recommendation s fo r approva l b y highe r authority . Monitor s an d accomplishe s officer AFS C upgrad e actions . Manage s th e Specia l E x perienc e Identifie r (SEI ) Progra m fo r the base.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
Work involving supervising or performing technical, specialized, or support work in the field of education or training. Develops, oversees, and evaluates education or training programs. Schedule and coordinate the use of training sites and facilities. Prepares plans and reports.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE :
Progressively responsible clerical experience or other work which demonstrated the ability to acquire and to apply a practical knowledge and understanding of the program objectives, policies, procedures, and requirements relating to the work of the position. Experience using computer and automation systems.
GS-07 - Must have at least 12 months experience, education, or training which included administrative, clerical or support duties. Experience assembling data into proper formats as directed by oral or written instructions. Experience with maintaining records and establishing a filing system. Experience and ability to follow agency directives in monitoring and controlling a testing environment. Experience in developing lesson plans and assuring plans are followed. Experience obtaining training materials and setting up training equipment (i.e., audio-visual, training aids). Experience gathering data, preparing and submitting reports.
NOTE: Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. Applicants must provide begin and end dates (MM/YY - MM/YY) with description of your specialized experience.
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement.
Enlisted applicants military grade cannot exceed the maximum military grade authorized. Over-grade applicant must provide a written statement of understanding with application, willingness to be administratively reduced in grade (state specific grade) if selected for this position.

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:

- Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT).

- Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses. Acceptance of a Technician position will terminate these military incentives.
- Acceptance of a permanent or indefinite position will cause termination from the Selected Reserve Incentive Program (SRIP).
- Relocation expenses will not be paid by the Government unless noted in the Announcement.
- Military Technicians in the excepted service will wear the appropriate uniform while performing as a Technician.
- Veterans preference does not apply to National Guard Technician positions in accordance with Title 32 USC 709(f).
