Job Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
The primary role of the training & development
specialist is the development of creative and
interactive training modules, tools and materials. The
training & development specialist also provides support
to the Training & Development team as well as other key
departments within the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design and develop training modules and training
materials, create storyboards, screen recordings,
exercises and assessment tools using a variety of
formats including print, graphics, audio, video,
animation and multimedia
  • Participate in the implementation and ongoing review
and revision of training modules and materials to
ensure consistency in design and integrity
  • Collaborate with key departments to provide training
and assistance through voice, in-person and email
communication, as needed
  • Possess an in depth knowledge of all processes and
procedures set forth in institution manuals, tools
and policies and procedures in order to provide
support and guidance
  • Proofread modules, manuals, tools and other
documents as needed
  • Conduct and facilitate trainings as needed
  • Provide support for special projects as assigned by
the director of training & development
  • Affect timely submissions from others, as required
  • General administrative functions and organizing as
needed
  • Performing all other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree plus two years relevant
training material development experience
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Connect, Adobe Articulate
and other eLearning platforms
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word,
Microsoft PowerPoint and general database knowledge
  • Organized, detail oriented, and able to multitask
  • Ability to work with all types of people including
acting as facilitator and occasionally lead role
  • Ability to communicate professionally both orally
and written
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations
(addition, subtraction, multiplication, division,
percents)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching and
twisting as needed
  • Occasionally moves/transports, lifts up to 25 pounds
  • Communicates, detects, converses with, discerns,
conveys, expresses oneself, discusses and exchanges
information
  • Detects, determines, distinguishes, identifies,
recognizes, perceives, estimates, judges, inspects,
compares, observes, assesses.
  • Attention to detail essential, including
proofreading documents and lines of text and
numbers. Visual discrimination
  • Business professional attire is required
