This position is full time in South Burlington, VT.
Primarily Responsible for administering, organizing and conducting effective training programs and additionally perform generalist human resources support activities for the organization.
Principal Duties and Objectives
Coordinate all elements of internal training and career pathing programs. This may include, but is not limited to, securing venues, coordinating attendance, developing rosters, maintaining files, communicating and tracking of upcoming and required training. Responsible for auto-enrolling training arrangements of new hires, monitoring progress during training and offering guidance to trainer when necessary.
A Leader of the internal Training Committee, responsible for preparing meeting minutes and maintaining the Action Item List. Leads Committee in coordinating annual training calendar and catalog, and maintaining contact with trainers throughout year to ensure integrity of all training programs.
Primary liaison for internal and external training vendors. Researches and maintains sufficient knowledge of industry and training best practices/programs/tools to provide support to Managers, the Committee and to support organizational objectives. This may include online training systems, webcast software or outside technology training facilities.
Responsible for administering the Tuition Education account and coordinating employee enrollment with CFT.
Responsible for development and distribution of the bi-monthly HR Matters Newsletter.
Maintains HRIS systems and responsible for content updates and enhancements of the HR portal and Intranet documents.
Responds to employee relations issues and maintains knowledge of federal and state regulations and updates Employee Handbook.
Assists with recruitment efforts for all exempt and non-exempt personnel.
Assists with administration of compensation and performance evaluation programs.
Assists with benefits and wellness program administration including status changes, claims resolution and event coordination.
Participates in developing departmental goals, procedures and systems.
Acts as a backup for all other functions within the Human Resources Department as needed.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
3-5 years training and HR generalist experience required.
Advanced degree and/or HR certification preferred.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills to be used in communicating with a broad range of constituents.
Strong knowledge of training resources, including e-learning, webcast tools, videoconferencing and local resources/facilities.
Strong organizational skills, high level of initiative and the ability to manage time to meet changing priorities.
Excellent aptitude and demonstrated proficiency in use of a computer technology. This includes working knowledge of the Internet, Microsoft Office (or similar software) functions, various HRIS, database and recordkeeping software.
Ability to analyze situations effectively and apply sound judgment and problem solving approaches to company and employee situations.
Strong service orientation and attitude required.
