USC Auxiliary Services is seeking a Tram Driver to join its Transportation team.
The Tram Driver will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to and from various destinations on and around the university campus utilizing trams with passenger capacities of 23-42 passengers. The Tram Driver will also assist management with staff planning, responding to accident and vehicle breakdowns and completing route, DVIR and uniform audits.
Provides customer service to students, faculty, staff and external customers and maintains a friendly, helpful demeanor.
Conducts daily pre and post trip vehicle safety inspections.
Maintains daily route schedule through adherence to assigned routes and time schedules.
Maintains knowledge of and compliance with all state and federal commercial drivers’ rules and regulations as well as all University policies and procedures.
Controls and monitor access to the University campus.
Monitors campus perimeter and observe and report crime.
Work with management to assist with staff planning; respond to accident and vehicle breakdowns and complete route, DVIR and uniform audits.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. The University reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
No set schedule. May have to work overtime, weekends, evenings, and/or holidays.

Must have Class B license with passenger endorsement, Airbrake Certification or ability to obtain airbrake certification within 90 days and Los Angeles Department of Transportation ( LADOT ) permit or ability to obtain permit within 60 days.

Minimum Field of Expertise
Bus Driving (Passenger Transport) and customer service experience. Must possess valid California Class B driver’s license with passenger endorsement. Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
May oversee student, temporary and/or casual workers.
