Position Summary

The Transcriptionist will sit with the physician during the office encounter with the patient and will transcribe the results of the visit into the EMR.

Position Activities
·
Documents all relevant visit information during
      the patient's examination by the physician, which includes the physical exam and a review of their current problem.
      ·
      Creates a progress note, which will be reviewed and approved by the physician.
      ·
      Documents during patient encounter, which will be directly supervised by the physician during the encounter.
      ·
      Records the observations presented and given by the physician.
      ·
      Assists in research related activities, when necessary,
      ·
      Logs into the EMR and opens the patient encounter.
      ·
      Performs other related duties as assigned.
      Qualifications
      Requirements
      Minimum Requirements
      ·
      Bachelor's degree.
      ·
      Previous related experience with strong transcription skills.
      ·
      Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
      Highly Desired Requirements
      ·
      Previous experience working in an ENT practice.
