Provides management expertise and, in collaboration with the Director of Nursing, is directly responsible for planning, organizing, directing and supervising the overall operation, function and activities of the skilled nursing unit. The administrator endeavors to maximize resources and activity to ensure the successful attainment of the mission statement. The administrator establishes goals and objectives and assists in the evaluation of standards of performance. She/he seeks to develop operating policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory mandates and to obtain the highest level of patient care and satisfaction possible. Further, she/he serves to facilitate a common working relationship with medical staff, hospital and nursing administration and the general public. Provides supervision of associates on Transitional Care Unit.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree required. Must be a licensed nursing home administrator in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Certified Administrator of Sub Acute Care (CAS) required.
