Purpose of the Job/Job Mission



Execute the T&L plan at Transactional Level



Ensure that all material and equipment are delivered at the agreed schedule / quality level and at the correct cost.

Responsibilities:


Manage interface with service providers.



Place Transportation Orders (TO).



Ensure correct INCOTERMS 2010 are used



Lead transport & logistics cost optimization during tendering & execution phase.



Follow the proper execution of TOs with service providers, manage claims (carriers, freight forwarder)



Proactively plan all shipment activities to satisfy the supply chain cycle of Transportation and Storage.



Control and manage all transport documentation including; customs and cash-in documentation (B/L, Packing List, Customs documents, L/C etc).



Provide recommendations to Packaging Design Specialist for the optimisation of shipments of goods.



Ensure permanent visibility of material and equipment (track & trace).



Interface between Product Line/Project/Construction site and Regional Hub.



Perform administration of customs clearance procedures, INTRASTAT reporting and government security initiatives to ensure execution compliance with local / international laws and regulations.



Perform product classification and duty valuation.



Interface between ALSTOM and customs authorities, locally.



Be part of customs audits when necessary.

Specific Functional/Technical authority (besides DoA):


Stop transport and receipt of the transport & logistics service provider is not acting according to ALSTOM EHS and ethics & compliance policy.



Issue claims to carrier, freight forwarder in collaboration with commodity management, legal, and project director.



Determine and recommend cost-effective solutions to delays and other risks.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements

Mandatory:


B

achelor or Engineering Degree



S

pecialization in logistics and transportation

Desirable:


Specialization in sourcing or quality



Complementary Business Administration / Commercial degree

Experience

Mandatory:
Experience in large corporations, at least 3 years

Minimum logistic experience, preferably with a freight forwarder

Contracting and Commercial know how (frame agreement, contracts)

Knowledge of logistics cost breakdown

Desirable:
Experience in transport operations.

Experience in a manufacturing unit.

Experience in large EPC projects.
