The Supply Services, Logistics Group seeks a sharp, articulate Transportation Analyst to join our team. Working out of the North American Corporate HQ in Parsippany, New Jersey, you will be a key member of a high performing creative team driving innovation and promoting unique thinking.
The role of the Transportation Analyst is to support data analysis efforts that are needed for on-going process improvement projects within the Logistics Organization. The Analyst will use their strong analytical skills and software experience to review the current transportation network and establish cost savings and service improvement opportunities across the logistics operations.
Support and complete transportation analyses and reporting for logistics facilities: to include weekly/monthly operations inbound/outbound reports with actual results, transportation claims analysis and reporting for North American region, and CPU freight allowance and reporting.
Improve and support operational efficiency between transportation and warehousing. Develop metrics around the efficiency of these processes going forward in the business.
Participate in development and execution of Transportation Management RFQ, analysis, and implementation.
Identify new opportunities to improve service and cost through analysis. Provide suggestions on new processes and initiatives and manage projects cross functional projects deliver the savings or service improvements that have been identified.
Participate in quarterly carrier metric meetings by conducting carrier performance reviews and discussions with all strategic Reckitt Benckiser carriers.
Learn the business processes of a fast moving consumer packaged goods
Bachelor's degree in Logistics/Transportation/Supply Chain, cost accounting a plus
2- 5 years of related logistics, supply chain, transportation, or warehousing experience
Strong analytical and excellent communication skills
Transportation Management Software and/or carrier interaction knowledge/experience helpful
Ability to work well under pressure
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access)
Overall familiarity with Transportation Marketplace
