Location: Fox Valley, WI, USA

Primary Responsibilities:

1) Coordinate and process outbound shipments

a) Pool/Truckloads (TL)

i) Verify customers have enough tonnage for stop-offs and arranging pool stops in most efficient-low cost order.

b) LTL(Less than Truckloads)/AF(Airfreight)

i) Prepare shipment labels and/or any extra paperwork as necessary

c) Load Tenders

i) Ensure pool and TL (Truckload) can schedule delivery appointments and LTL (Less than Truckload) can coordinate pickup

d) Freight Allocation

i) Apply freight to all outbound shipments

ii) Run reports to catch freight allocation errors

iii) Run reports to verify that shipments that are closed have been and invoiced

2) Facilitate communication between Customer Service and carriers

a) Carrier Delays

b) Track Shipments

c) Proofs of Delivery (POD)

d) Rate Quotes

e) Paper Returns

3) Communicate requirements and provide necessary documentation to ensure timely and efficient processing of orders through the warehouse

a) Prepare any/all extra paperwork required for any shipment

b) Create SRR (Shipment Ready to Release); so warehouse can prepare for shipping

c) Clear SRR’s (Shipment Ready to Release) of any errors that would prevent them from completing

d) Assist warehouse in reconciling issues that arise from daily processing of orders

4) Facilitate resolution of damaged freight claims

a) Investigate damaged freight claims and approve/decline credit as necessary

b) File freight claims with carriers to receive money back

5) Reconcile disputed freight invoices

a) Research invoices that fall outside of freight tolerance

b) Correct issues with responsible party to prevent discrepancies from reoccurring

6) Coordinate Inter-Mill shipments

a) Arrange trucks for shipments that transfer between mills

b) Arrange trucks for stock replenishment to outside warehouses

c) Assist in arranging trucks for outside converters when necessary

7) Coordinate and communicate other various transportation department activities based on needs

a) Prepare e-commerce orders for shipment

b) Enter pool trip ID’s a week in advance

c) Proactively assign orders on future trips

d) Document carrier delays in Oracle

e) Create holiday schedules - work with Customer Service and carriers to put together schedules based on customer information

f) Update and maintain traffic documents for Customer Service

i) Rate Instructions

ii) Less than Truckload (LTL) Map

iii) Customer Service Ship Method Guide

iv) Other

g) Prepare monthly reports

h) Prepare carrier scorecards and reporting result to carriers

i) Maintain truck schedules

Qualifications Desired:

• One to three years of experience in load planning or logistics related field

• Associate’s Degree in logistics, business management or equivalent related experience

• A track record of proven performance / consistently meeting objectives

Experience in the following areas is strongly desired :

• Exercise personal leadership to provide an environment that puts a priority on providing a safe and healthy workplace

• Advanced communications and interpersonal skills

• Familiarity with ERP systems such as ORACLE

• Microsoft Office is a plus

• Experience working in a fast paced and constantly changing environment

• Demonstrated ability to make logical decisions in critical situations
