GENCO has an immediate opening within our GTS (GENCO Technology Solutions) business unit for a Transportation Clerk within our Transportation department located in Fort Worth, TX. Our Fort Worth locations consists of 3 facilities with nearly 1,000,000 square feet operating three shifts with approximately 3,000 teammates.
The Transportation Clerk acts as the conduit for solution between the client/business unit and the carrier. The Analyst is accountable for developing strong vendor and customer relations to and offer creative solutions to consistently deliver desired results. This position is also responsible for auditing and processing carrier payables to maintain minimal aging/accrual reports, prompt customer invoicing and internal reporting. This position will act as supporting role to the department manager, able to exercise good judgment/strong decision making and take on new projects/tasks in addition to normal activities.
The Transportation Clerk is responsible for:
Daily, weekly, and monthly activities within the Transportation department including planning, invoice management, POD distribution and claims resolution for all supported business units
Meeting/ exceeding established KPI's and SLA's as dictated by the company and the customer.
Completing all invoice auditing, processing, batching, accruals and reporting to meet weekly report out requirements.
Tracking all claims, credits and gain share program transactions.
Reconcile aging on 20 + supplier accounts
Preparing & analyzing
RFP/Business Review Data for current and potential customers
Acting as first point of escalation for carriers, customers and operations
Establishing a pattern of continuous improvement and working within accepted quality guidelines to achieve goals.
Administering TMS access and training for supported departments.
Work in a fast paced environment handling multiple tasks with complex deadlines
Facilitating effective problem solving and root cause analysis as needed.
Showing initiative and make suggestions for improving processes.
Communicating with customers, suppliers, and teammates.
Training and motivating team members.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
Transportation experience with background in Forward Operations (high value commodities preferred)
Experience with Big Box Retail & Electronics 3PL Warehouse appointment and receiving processes.
Experience auditing EDI invoices/processing transactions
Ability to efficiently navigate TMS & WMS applications
Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook skills;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to work with little supervision and work well with the team
Ability to solve complex issues and make high quality, independent decisions
Ability to work on multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Able to demonstrate initiative to improve processes and train others
Ability to work directly with/be conduit for the customer, supplier and multiple business units
Ability and willingness to field calls during unscheduled hours
