Responsibilities
Check and pack equipment, food and dairy items as specified by customer for flights.
Finalize meal counts, report reason for up-count or missed meals.
Responsible for dispatching the proper loading of trucks to aircraft.
Communicates with flight service manager and gate agents to verify meal count and necessary information regarding the flight.
Load bank meals on flight.
Perform field checks and ensure safety on the field and the kitchen.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the department and kitchen.
Perform duties of transportation department positions when required.
Report on working condition of vehicles and equipment.
Write report for delays, incidents and mishaps, if needed.
Guide trucks, as needed.
Drive hi-lift cargo vehicle, cargo van, forklift, hand truck, and pallet jack.
Use of computer.
Support unit in the Supply Chain Optimization initiative.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Basic math skills to include addition, subtraction, division and percentages.
Basic computer knowledge.
High school diploma/General Educational Development (GED) or equivalent required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid Hawaiian driver's license along with a current driving abstract required.
A valid US commercial drivers license type B or A is preferred.
Ability to meet 10-year background clearance for FAA Security Access and U. S. Customs.
Ability to read, speak and write English.
Must be willing to work any shift in a 24/7 week, including weekends, nights and holidays.
Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship.
